Quite true, and you're absolutely correct. with a few caveats, MCP and the AAIF stack are clearly being positioned to become the “Kubernetes of agents”,kinda of a de facto default that everyone else ends up integrating with because of ecosystem gravity, and not just because of technical merit.

What also worries me is that governments still haven’t really defined what an “AI agent” is in legal terms, so moves like AAIF let the biggest players set the practical rules of how agents act, log, and coordinate before regulators even arrive. In that sense, creating “open” standards early is also a very smart way to shape and soften future regulation while looking purely collaborative.
